Great Upward Mobility
As I look back at my time at AA, I realize how good I had it. My managers had trust in me and I was able to move through the ranks pretty swiftly. Great company.

If not for the flight benefits and travel, I would have left AA years ago.

Micromanagement
benefits are great, but there is a lot of looking over the shoulder/micromanaging.

No emphasis on diversity
You can tell a lot about a company by the way they treat their customers.

Culture
Management doesn’t acknowledge hard work and moving up requires that you know the right people.

Pretty Decent Benefits
Benefits here are awesome and you are able to grow with company. Great medical benefits, travel benefits and flexibility after a certain seniority. Compensation could definitely be improved.

Culture Shift
Culture at American was fantastic prior to the merger between US Airways and AA. The culture changed since then and has disrupted culture. Many employees remember when culture was great and are now motivated to look for more suitable culture. Now the culture is much more of a standard corporate setting.
