EY Commits to Anti-Racism
I commend EY on their recent stance on Anti-Racism and the commitment they are making by putting action behind their public statements. For example, the company has made a commitment to donate $4 million to HBCU's, $3 million to organizations that fight for social justice as well as bridging the Digital Divide in underserved communities. This speaks volumes to the company's commitment to Diversity and Inclusion.

I worked there for 6 years after working at another Big 4 for 10 years. At EY it seems that they were not genuine in their D&I efforts. They assigned a budget and a sponsor to the ERG, and we weren't allowed to use the budget for anything meaningful and the sponsor was unavailable most of the time. I finally came to the conclusion that they were doing things for appearance only

Great People, Fun Projects
Having worked at another Big 4 firm before joining EY, I can safely say that EY's culture is truly people first. When my child was born, they didn't hesitate to grant me a week of paternity leave, before paternity leave was event a thing.

Takes Extra Work
I'm a manager here and E&Y tries very hard to be intentional about diversity and inclusion. I've worked at several professional services firms, and I will say out of them all, E&Y puts forth the most effort. Of course, like my other jobs, there are the usual things that happen to us people of color like not getting the high visibility projects, but I have spent a substantial amount of time finding sponsors and carving out my own path.

Good Environment
Flexible work options so long as you let people know and actually do the work. I like many of the people with whom I work - they are compassionate, intelligent, professional and engaging individuals. Some of their unique benefits include long holiday weekends, referral bonuses, and gym fee reimbursement.

Good for Working Moms
Parental leave has recently increased the amount of time off for moms and dads who are expecting a child, and just received recognition for being friendly to working mothers. Hours are flexible and the employees are smart and personable making EY a great place to work. work.
