Formal Women Mentorship/Sponsorship Programs?
Women@Goodwin actively supports the firm’s goals to attract, retain, develop and advance women at all stages of their careers. We work to promote our women lawyers as leaders both inside and outside of the firm. We focus on gender diversity not only because we believe it is right, but also because diverse teams perform better. We promote an inclusive culture to motivate all of us to succeed together across the firm. The group is chaired by partners Deborah Birnbach and Lisa Haddad and includes attorneys – women and men – from every office and department at the firm. Women@Goodwin provides mentorship and sponsorship opportunities, and also delivers workshops and seminars that address relevant topics such as women in leadership, developing sponsor relationships, brand-building, business development skills and work-life integration.
